Some days you're the bug; some days you're the windshield.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Don't be irreplaceable; if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities without your help.

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much when your mouth is moving.

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Here is the excerpted 2004 Horoscope for the coming year which is available together with a ten year forecast at the link below. When clicking through the link you will also be able to take a generic preview of the years 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 for each of your signs, together with an introduction for each year. More indepth monthly astrological comments will be forthcoming for my NewsLetter subscribers in the weeks to come.

As The World Turns in 2004

2004 is the year of speculation, innovation, conjecture, and new alliances. Spiritually the world splits into several levels - reality and anti-reality, gravity and anti-gravity, matter and anti-matter. Shifts of consciousness will gradually take people towards new interests and other dimensions. A new cosmology dawns. Teaching will be more interesting via the web, which transforms into an omni net. Families and homes will take on new meanings, as clans will gather and start moving around.

People will learn to go within and to become one with the web of life. Heads of states will roll worldwide. August and September is a potentially very dangerous and volatile time with a bunch of planets in the pan Arabian Mars point in Virgo challenged by transcending Pluto. I anticipate the Middle East to blow up just in time for the US “election”. I predicted Bush stays in the White House – not sure though he will finish his 2nd term..

While the inevitable and nefarious trend to a one-world government continues via wars, deceptions, and atrocities - with either Bush and/or Clintons - a sub-culture of new international thinkers, artists, and leaders emerges elsewhere. Children will become family leaders; dedication to belief systems, philosophy, arts, and humanities will expand, as it usually does in times of distress. The internet will be used in different ways. Independently produced movies, music, and books will be seen on new gadget screens.

People will start to question the matrix of life and the sense of their lives. The trend for economic success will be to become self-sufficient and to re-organize into smaller and livable communities. It will behoove people to reach out to one another and to make friends all across the globe. Sign by sign, planet by planet, you adapt to these times in the following ways:

2004 starts at warp speed for you. Place yourself ahead of change; persevere! Don't waste a minute; promote yourself. Begin a new dawn, yet be aware that Saturn tests you at times while Uranus trails you in your house of undoing, forcing you into mutable mysticism. Home front undergoes changes all year long. In February, your action radius expands. Financial transactions are favored. Your outlook is optimistic. Vernal equinox (3/21) is swiftness; new moon forms on the Celtic New Year in the first degree of Aries, and Mars moves into quick silvery Gemini – to accelerate life. Look for many more options. Probably relocation or a safe home is well aspected. During summer, you promote your work, services, and business affairs. By October, your relationships experience many new boosts. The year ends on a tenacious and secretive note. This is one of your best years in a long time, albeit fraught with challenges.

Relationships and financial matters are good news in 2004. Things start to make more sense after years of relative floundering. Your best new income source lies in networking and in applied teaching of previous skills you excelled at years ago. February & March, you are totally in charge. From mid May to end of June you feel at a loss, your popularity turning inwards to a quest for your inner values. Summer is for multi-faceted relating, with many potential alliances, and choices to opt from. Destinies on hold before 2004 should come knocking on your door now. Diligent work, harvest, nose to the grindstone, and an eye for your co-dependents 11 pay off. Year's end wants you to be careful, to investigate well, suggesting you supervise your partners carefully. The climate is gentle compared to the recent past. Yet, the phases of life are rapidly changing. Keep in step by expecting the unexpected. Network with the web of life!

Pluto still looks you into the inner eye from afar. You turn your interest toward things exotic. Untried belief systems start to awaken your higher sense of destiny. Uranus in your heaven's gate prods you into philosophical contemplations. Saturn slows down your financial net worth. Times in which not to sign agreements are the first weeks of January, all of April, August 9th to September 2nd, and November 29 to December 21st. You and retrograde Mercury make for a mental anxiety package during those weeks. Best to review what you did before, or repair your car and phones. Your best phase is March 21st to August 7th, feeling popular. May 17th to June 29th is for deep introspection, when a meaningful friendship which slipped through your mercurial fingers last year may come back for a 2nd chance; emotions run deep. At the end of 2004, you will look forward to a serious alliance, balance, and peace of mind: The reality checkpoint.

Saturn all year long in visit makes for a fragile emotional safety zone. Harsh tests of endurance are served. Notions of home, roots, and family undergo deep structural changes. Do not fret. This instability comes and goes only once every 29 years. It too shall pass. All of May, June and July you deploy productive activity. By August, you feel loved, and by September, you know it was all worth it. Fall could turn out to be one of your best financial moments. The 10/27 full moon eclipse is the key: you feel like secluding during November and December, a time in which you must not consider any long-term commitments of any sort. You are better off reviewing the progress you made in ten months against all odds. Saturn is said to bring massive rewards to those who navigate life in a timely and appropriate manner. Reach out and make new friends in your close geographical surroundings. You are the caretaker and care giver all year long.

Relationships remain on the romantic or dreamy side. There is detachment all around you. Your lion heart becomes more gregarious and your activity zone expands past March. May to September - July being the peak time - your belief in yourself and your ability to close and manage good deals expand considerably. You become the magnet of society around you. The last three months of 2004 the theme changes: Artistic creative expressiveness reaches an all time high, and real love is in the air. The climate of 2004 is contradictory. At times, you reach out and make a large profit. At other times, you must recharge the batteries in your lion's den. You might want to check into ways of community service, to see where you can be of benefit, while still center of attraction. The risks are few, challenges are many, but you will see opportunities in them. The last 60 days of 2004, you are better off being at home giving the party.

Intellectual powers are yours all of 2004. You are extremely busy during the first 120 days preparing a strategic goal. Detail planning of alternatives will come in handy later. Cinco de Mayo (5/5), Jupiter green lights your quests after 11 years of analysis paralysis. The next 120 days, see you on an unprecedented expansion course - recruiting people. Jupiter aligned with Mars & Sun all of September in your sign will bring in the harvest of a decade. In October, your popularity soars. Be discerning, start investing in art and fundamental values, partnerships and alliances beyond boundaries. Uranus demands these associations to be of free spirit, liberating, and mystical of nature. As of November, you get a chance to travel into encounters of the quiet kind. 2004 is in many ways the ultimate Virgo year of service, a big victory in your life. All previous efforts will pay off handsomely. You may take on the role of teacher or dean of society.

Life gets a tad tougher for the taste of the peacemaker. Career matters come under scrutiny all year long, as does the home and family front. Home may well be where you heal and where you can be of service to others. Work takes on new forms with Uranus liberating your 6th solar house. Relating to yourself is the key from mid May to end of June. Until the end of September, you have to close loose ends of your life and prepare for a completely new start in your life. As the sun, Mars and Jupiter enter your sign in the last week of September, a new era of selfassertion and material expansion dawns for you. The last 100 days of 2004 are your best times by far, when you expand your horizons, make new friends, travel, and bolster your financial affairs. Dreams on hold for many years come to stylish fruition in November. For this reason, you must prepare well in 2004, and make a serious effort to position yourself for that time.

This is a complex year for the control soul of professionalism. Uranus breaks you out of the mold in matters of the heart. It means free love. Don't even think of jealousy or possessiveness, let go of what did not work. The South Node of Karma transits your sign all year long, making you look into concepts of past life times; you pay off some old debts to get on par. The beginning of the year gives you great new opportunities. End of March to end of August your transformation potential must come from within because your ruler Pluto moves backwards on you. As of September, you can expand again. Fast forward in your planning to 10/27 when the spectacular total Scorpio full moon eclipse puts you in touch with the reformer in you. Spirituality and philosophy take on functions unknown hitherto in your life. Financially speaking this is a great year for you. The last 100 days of 2004 is when you manifest results. Investigate new strategies.

Ruler Jupiter rolls back as the year opens, and keeps you internalizing your grand plans until 5/5, when your 2003 ideals are revised. Career structure, higher studies of faith and belief, service and ethics are aspects to promote until 5/5, and long distance travel or faraway relocation makes sense after 5/5 and 10/12. Uranus seriously questions your fundamental childhood values. You may well decide to take surprisingturns as life may toss unexpected curve balls your way. Particularly if born between 11/22 and 11/30 you will feel how things break apart; born between 12/12 and 12/15 you feel the erosion of Pluto shape shifting your inner core. April & May you must see others' view points. In June, an old flame might bounce back. You are in the cross hairs of diverging energies pulling you in several directions. You need priorities. By year-end, you must create many new networks. Inner & outer changes transform you 14 totally.

Healer Chiron resumes his journey through your sign. Born after January 9th this affects you more, as your bone and life structure will transform. Ruler Saturn opposes you from Cancer all year long, checking the reality of your relationships, business partnerships, and home. In a way, 2004 polarizes the essence of your being. The best advice is to engage into serious therapy healing from within, and to let go of the ambitious concepts that only tend to come back at you like a boomerang. The first & last two months of 2004 are not a time to commit in any new direction, which leaves you March to October as the best time to organize the long haul. The ideal area to deploy your force is towards new friendships with the little people, teaching and nursing, as odd as it sounds, your priorities and tastes change. Spring and summer is time to test the benefit of partnership by seeing it form his/her viewpoint. Funding projects looks good.

Uranus enlightened you as it were, and now Neptune plays the paint thinner in your life. Your job is to show your surrounding a new kind of reality from within. Expand your networks and friendships in winter. Solidify your home in spring. Test into detached loves during summer. Use your mental and organizational skills in ways as to tap into new funding sources that look well aspected from May to September. As of October, you feel you have achieved much more in one year than in many years in the past: your popularity is sky high, and people follow you. There is one friend in your life that will always be your friend. Make this person your ally for the long haul. There are enormous amounts of work piling up on you, as you may be called upon to become in a way the chief of your clan. From mid June to early November your ruling planet Uranus backs into you. At that time, you want to tread carefully and reshape yourself.

If the choice is between unconditional love and sanity, go for unconditional functionality. Fast-forward to the end my friend: Life changing decisions. Your world depends on you, as you now also must take on leadership functions to make matters more complex. If it was ok to be kind and sensitive, now you lead the revolt: No prisoners! For many years, you will be the Alpha and the Omega, or the glue that keeps things together. Spring sees you storming ahead financially, summer sees you moving to new places, fall sees you engineering networks and cementing alliances. By year's end, you must investigate how to deploy your strategic command of undercurrents. Too many ask you for favors; even you have to prioritize your life. Chances are you settle for one ally worthy of you. Look after yourself; merge a career in secrecy and in the lime light. If anyone can balance this act, it is you. Financial independence is yours by year's end.

Mondo Quake in Pacific Northwest?

By Leander Kahney

Geologists have discovered evidence of a massively powerful earthquake zone beneath the Pacific Northwest just offshore from the Seattle area. They made the discovery by piecing together ancient accounts of a giant Japanese tsunami and a computer simulation of a huge tremblor in the 17th century.

Thought to be inactive, the earthquake zone runs 600 miles up the Pacific Coast from Northern California to southern British Columbia. It appears to be subject to monster quakes every 500 years.

... the paper's authors present a solid case that a magnitude-9 quake on Tuesday, January 26, 1700, sent a 15-foot tsunami into Japan about 14 hours later...

"It flooded farmed fields, ruined salt kilns, damaged fishermen's shacks, ascended a castle moat, entered a government warehouse, drove people to high ground, and probably ran 2 kilometers up a river," the paper says. "It wrecked houses not only by flooding them but also by starting a fire. It contained multiple waves that range in reported time from midnight until the following noon. The tsunami initiated a nautical accident in which were lost two crew members and tons of rice."

... Atwood said the link was provided by stands of dead trees along the coast that drowned in seawater between August 1699 and January 1700. Their time of death was determined by the trees' last growth ring.

... During the quake, the sea floor stretched 60 feet and dropped 5 feet. "It was a sudden lowering of a sizeable chunk of the ocean floor," Atwood said, "The ocean rushed in, and that's what created the tsunami."

... Atwood said the geological record indicates the fault ruptures about once every 500 years and is capable of unleashing "truly giant earthquakes."

He said only three quakes this century compare in magnitude -- a 9.0 quake in Kamchatka in 1952, a 9.5 quake in Chile in 1960 and a 9.2 tremblor in Alaska in 1964.

"The 1906 earthquake (in San Francisco) was a very big earthquake, but this thing in 1700 was in a different class," said Atwood.

He said the fault, which is long and slopes gently under the North American tectonic plate, is characterized by tremors that last for several minutes. "It is very challenging for building design," he said. "Most earthquakes don't last that long. We have no experience for building to withstand it." ...

The Joke Is No Longer Funny

By Wayne Sneedon
Editorial - The Ticker
Baruch College - City Universtiy Of New York

Our professors have joked about it. We joke about it with our friends. But it's just a joke, a relic from the "bad old days." The draft is gone forever, isn't it? Think again.

Become acquainted with the Universal National Service Act of 2003, H.R. 163, introduced on January 7, 2003. This act, can be found on the website of the U.S. Congress at (

This act as seen on the website states: Universal National Service Act of 2003

Title: A bill to provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes.

It declares that it is the obligation of every U.S. citizen, and every other person residing in the United States, between the ages of 18 and 26 to perform a two-year period of national service, unless exempted, either as a member of an active or reserve component of the armed forces or in a civilian capacity that promotes national defense. Requires induction into national service by the President. Sets forth provisions governing: (1) induction deferments, postponements, and exemptions, including exemption of a conscientious objector from military service that includes combatant training; and (2) discharge following national service. Amends the Military Selective Service Act to authorize the military registration of females.

Let's take a look at the contentions in this bill for a moment. First, we notice that it becomes the "obligation" of every person in the United States between 18 and 26 to serve two years in the military. "Obligation," means no choice in the matter. In addition, the Military Selective Service Act is amended to include women. It would appear that this also extends to non-citizens and immigrants, based on the phrase, "every other person residing in the United States." ...

H.R. 163 also teams with its sister bill, S. 89. These are two separate bills, written with the exact same lingo. The difference? One sits with the House, the other with the Senate. ...

When will this happen? Both bills are on the floor of the Congress, waiting to be picked up and voted on. It is unlikely that we will see this before the election in 2004. No president seriously seeking reelection would dare try to impose a mandatory draft and military service. However, once Bush ends up with a second term, he is basically free to do anything he wants. Look for this in 2005, according to the Selective Service System fiscal year 2004 plan (

President Bush is spending $28 million (see plans 1-3 at the above website for dollar amounts) to have the Selective Service system ready to report to him on March 31, 2005, and then to have the system ready for activation within 75 days. This would make the approximated date of the return of the draft June 15, 2005. All of these numbers can be figured out by reading the above link. ...

Hmmm ....

300,000 lose power near Cape ... Hundreds of thousands of people lost power last night in southeastern Massachusetts from New Bedford to Provincetown to the islands, closing stores, heightening danger at busy intersections, and forcing rescue workers to increase the number of ambulances responding to emergency calls.

Signs of the Times #521
TransCanada says Alberta Gas Pipeline Ruptures [Dec 2] ‘TransCanada Corp, one of the largest natural gas transporters in North America, said its pipeline system ruptured twice on Monday and Tuesday in a remote area of northwest Alberta. The first rupture occurred late Monday afternoon on an underground gas pipeline in a remote area about 70 miles (110 km) southeast of Grande Prairie, Alberta, she said. The second rupture occurred early Tuesday about 10 miles (17 km) downstream of the first rupture. Both ruptures were accompanied by fire’

Sydney Went Bang, and Nobody Knew Why [Dec 3] ‘Buildings shook, windows rattled and terrified residents thought their homes were crashing around them - but nobody has any idea what caused a mysterious explosion that shook Sydney´s north and west late last night. Police began receiving phone calls about 10.20 of an enormous explosion, with reports coming from an area stretching from Wiseman´s Ferry to the lower Blue Mountains. In about 20 minutes, Riverstone police station alone received more than 100 calls from worried residents.’ [and from another source] Freak Hailstorm Hits Melbourne [Dec 3] ‘Locals said the 20-minute storm hit the suburb about 4PM with hailstones the size of golf balls.’ [and from another source] Yesterday [Dec 2] the weather seemed normal for Oregon, rainy and a high in upper 40's. Today [Dec 3] the Sun is out and we are pushing 60. This is March weather not December, the grass is starting to grow again.

Signs of the Times #522
Fox Creek is roughly 150 miles northwest of Edmonton, and as the weather has been unseasonably warm for this time of year, again the cold can not be blamed. They are very, very quickly blaming "pipeline fatigue" I've lived in this province my entire life and I've never heard of "pipeline fatigue" in a gasline break. [and from another source] Pipeline Blasts not Suspicious [Dec 3]‘Energy Minister Murray Smith says two pipeline explosions in northwestern Alberta were not due to acts of vandalism. During the normal course of business the lines are checked continually. Flames from the ruptured line near Little Smoky were visible in the night from kilometres away, said witnesses.’

Signs of the Times #520
Cracks Let Solar Wind Disrupt Earth's Atmosphere [Dec 3] ‘The solar wind pries open immense cracks in the Earth's magnetic field, holding them apart while it gushes through to cause geomagnetic storms, scientists reported on Wednesday.’ [Note: once again, NASA, who holds all the data that can prove this one way or the other, attempts to explain why our compasses are going wild.]

Signs of the Times #519 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
In Alaska [Dec 3] my compass is pointing East.! Just happened! I have lived up here all my life and I can tell you that our compasses point north or a little northeast or west at times, but never never do they point 48 degrees from normal. It is pointing east, and a little south! Close to Anchorage, southcentral. I have 2 sources. One compass away from any interference, ie speakers, TVs and such. Also have a large computer magnet attatched to our ceiling with paper underneath to mark the degrees away from any other magnetic sources and they are reading the same variation. [and from another poster] Connecticut reporting in. I have a cheap floating compass and it is pointing east at the wall that should be North! I checked again, it has swung back toward normal, but still seems a bit NE instead of N. [and from another poster] In the Carolina Mountains, 33-34 latitude, 83-84 longtitude, tonight my compass is more than 25 degrees NE of usual! The past six months the compass swings back and forth 6-8%, but never as much as this! My compass is not a ´good´ one, but it lies in the same place on my desktop and there is nothing around to cause it to swing off. [and from another poster] I am in north central BC and mine is NE more east than it should be though. I am in the bush I do use my compass so do not think anything is wrong with it. [and from another poster] I took out my Army Engineers compass, the reading was still showing magnetic north a full 10 degrees off expected position. I also took to compass to an outside location to validate and remove any possible variables due to wiring etc. At this point in time, I see something terribly wrong with the earth´s magnetics. I have confered with many in the know. If what I am measuring is for real, and I suspect that it is, we are experiencing events which are a first for historically recorded human experience.

A freak thunderstorm hit Melbourne in Australia on Wednesday, causing widespread flooding and leaving drivers stranded on the roofs of their cars. Firefighters had to use boats to rescue people as more than 100 millimetres of rain were dumped on the city in just over two hours. "This is a once in 100 year event," local forecaster Dean Stewart said. Emergency services said they had received 1,000 calls and hundreds of homes had been flooded or damaged.

A government minister has called for a swift report into a power cut which left tens of thousands of people in Northern Ireland without electricity.

There's a report that at least three of India's biggest cities will be underwater by 2020 In addition, over the weekend a group of German scientists reported that shortly thereafter, the worldwide water levels will rise upwards of 30-feet or more.

In a rare turn of seismic events, two minor earthquakes shook Norman on Monday. The first quake at 9:50 a.m. ranked at a magnitude of 1.7 on the Richter scale and the second at 1:18 p.m. brought a 2.0 magnitude, according to initial data from the Oklahoma Geological Survey, said geologist Kenneth Luza.

The second tropical storm of December-named Peter, was announced at 10 am EST this morning,by The National Hurricane Center. This is very rare,in fact this is the first time this has happened since 1887.

Snow piled up nearly a foot deep Tuesday in western Nebraska as a new storm blew out of the Rockies and across the Plains and upper Midwest ... By noon Tuesday, a band of snow stretched from the Texas Panhandle across parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and northern Wisconsin ... Earlier, the storm had left as much as 19 inches of snow at ski resorts in the Colorado Rockies.

Startled East Coast residents from North Carolina to Maryland were shaken Tuesday by an earthquake that registered a preliminary magnitude of 4.5. The U.S. Geological Survey (news - web sites) said the quake occurred about 28 miles west of Richmond — 104 miles south-southwest of Washington. There were numerous reports from people who felt it in three states and the District of Columbia.

'Miserable failure' links to Bush

George W Bush has been Google bombed. Web users entering the words "miserable failure" into the popular search engine are directed to the biography of the president on the White House website.

The trick is possible because Google searches more than just the contents of web pages - it also counts how often a site is linked to, and with what words.

Thus, members of an online community can affect the results of Google searches - called "Google bombing" - by linking their sites to a chosen one ... more

Universe Events - Hyper-spatial geometry applied to predicting future solar activity cycles

Recent events observed on the sun now make discussion about existence of solar change moot. The change has propagated to earth to the extent that environmental changes are now altering both the human habitat as well as life patterns. The huge death toll from the summer of 2003 in Europe is just the beginning. Manifesting as the impacts of a warming globe, humans can expect severe impacts in future years on their society and resource allocation.

Recent decades have seen an increase in all forms of 'natural disaster' which has been reflected in insurance company balance sheets as well as in the toll of loss of life, habitat, and property. This increase has accelerated at an increasing rate since 1975 with a further increase in the rate of increase beginning in 1995. Recent global death tolls and property damage reports further suggest that 2003 will be a dividing point for analyzing future history.

As the first of the 'abnormal' years where more records in all categories from weather events to disease states, 2003 also delineates 2002 as the last of the 'normal' years in which only about half of the weather and other records were broken. At this juncture, the likelihood is for more years like 2003 than like 2002. In other words, 2003 marks the end of the beginning and the progression into a new state of human and environment relations. ...

Based on our current understanding of these developing cycles, the next dangerously active period for earth dwelling humans relative to solar flaring and cycles would begin the week of December 14th 2003 with the most likely period of peaking activity being December 18 through the 24th.

If the geometry is correct, humans should see increased 'freak' or 'peak' weather with increased likelihood of electrical infrastructure impacts during this period and through the last week of December as the rotation after effects *(residual high energy impacts launched earilier) linger.

Of course, the period of rotation is not fixed, and involves more vertexes than are shown in the interlocking tetrahedrons. We will post any changes observed in the rotational period.

And of note, the 'dangerous periods' of solar flaring are not the only real danger. Solar radiation is rising and humans are experiencing all the effects of this radiation increase in their weather patterns as well as increases in earthquakes and other diverse effects including increased skin cancers and shorted clothing fiber life. So aware caution is advised both for the increased periods of solar activity and daily solar interaction.

You see, 'Imagine' was exactly the same message, but sugar- coated. Now 'Imagine' is a big hit almost everywhere--anti-religious, anti-nationalistic, anti-conventional, anti-capitalistic song, but because it is sugar coated it is accepted. Now I understand what you have to do. Put your political message across with a little honey."

Subject: E-Mail From A Capt in Iraq

We knew there was a dinner planned with Ambassador Bremer and LTG Sanchez.

There were 600 seats available and all the units in the division were tasked with filling a few tables. Naturally, the 501st MI battalion got our table. Soldiers were grumbling about having to sit through another "dog-and-pony show", so we had to pick soldiers to attend. I chose not to go.

But, about 1500 the G2, LTC Devan, came up to me and with a smile, asked me to come to dinner with him, to meet him in his office at 1600 and bring a camera. I didn't really care about getting a picture with Sanchez or Bremer, but when the division's senior intelligence officer asks you to go, you go.

We were seated in the chow hall, fully decorated for Thanksgiving when aaaaallllll kinds of secret service guys showed up. That was my first clue, because Bremer's been here before and his personal security detachment is not! that big.

Then BG Dempsey got up to speak, and he welcomed ambassador Bremer and LTG Sanchez. Bremer thanked us all and pulled out a piece of paper as if to give a speech. He mentioned that the President had given him this thanksgiving speech to give to the troops. He then paused and said that the senior man present should be the one to give it. He then looked at Sanchez, who just smiled. Bremer then said that we should probably get someone more senior to read the speech.

Then, from behind the camouflage netting, the President of the United States came around. The mess hall actually erupted with hollering. Troops bounded to their feet with shocked smiles and just began cheering with all their hearts. The building actually shook. It was just unreal. I was absolutely stunned. Not only for the obvious, but also because I was only two tables away from the podium. There he stood, less than thirty feet away from me!

The cheering went on and on and on. Soldiers were hollering, cheering, and a lot of them were crying. There was not a dry eye at my table. When he stepped up to the cheering, I could clearly see tears running down his cheeks. It was the most surreal moment I've had in years. Not since my wedding and Aaron being born. Here was this man, our President, came
all the way around the world, spending 17 hours on an airplane and landing in the most dangerous airport in the world, where a plane was shot out of the sky not six days before. Just to spend two hours with his troops. Only to get on a plane and spend another 17 hours flying back. It was a great moment, and I will never forget it.

He delivered his speech, which we all loved, when he looked right at me and held his eyes on me. Then he stepped down and was just mobbed by the soldiers. He slowly worked his way all the way around the chow hall and shook every last hand extended. Every soldier who wanted a photo with the President got one. I made my way through the line, got dinner, then wolfed it down as he was still working the room. You could tell he was really enjoying himself. It wasn't just a photo opportunity. This man was actually enjoying himself! He worked his way over the course of about 90 minutes towards my side of the room.

Meanwhile, I took the opportunity to shake a few hands. I got a picture with Ambassador Bremer, Talabani (acting Iraqi president) and Achmed Chalabi (another member of the ruling council) and Condaleeza Rice, who was there with him. I felt like I was drunk.

He was getting closer to my table so I went back over to my seat. As he passed and pos! ed for photos, he looked me in the eye and said, "How you doin', captain." I smiled and said "God bless you, sir." To which he responded "I'm proud of what you do, captain." Then moved on.

Widow's Bush Treason Suit Vanishes in Blink of Media Eye

"The decision 'not to do the story' appears to be multiplying all

Think you're already amazed, alarmed or appalled enough by the state
of US journalism today? Chew on this a while and think again.
Grieving New Hampshire widow who lost her man on 9/11 refuses the
government's million dollar hush money payoff, studies the facts of
the day for nearly two years, and comes to believe the White House
"intentionally allowed 9/11 to happen" to launch a so-called "War on
Terrorism" for personal and political gain. She retains a prominent
lawyer, a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania, who served
with distinction under both Democrats and Republicans and was once a
strong candidate for the governor's seat.

The attorney files a 62-page complaint in federal district court
(including 40 pages of prima facie evidence) charging that "President
Bush and officials including, but not limited to Cheney, Rumsfeld,
Rice, Ashcroft and Tenet":
1.) had adequate foreknowledge of 911 yet failed to warn the county
or attempt to prevent it;
2.) have since been covering up the truth of that day;
3.) have therefore abetted the murder of plaintiff's husband and
violated the Constitution and multiple laws of the United States; and
4.) are thus being sued under the Civil RICO (Racketeering,
Influence, and Corrupt Organization) Act for malfeasant conspiracy,
obstruction of justice and wrongful death...

...Imagine the world-churning implications of these charges. Imagine
the furor if just one was proved true. Imagine the courage of this
bribe-shunning widow and an eminent attorney with his rep on the
line. Then imagine a press conference to which nobody came... ...Now
imagine the air time, column inches and talk show hysteria that same
night devoted to the legal hassles of Michael, Kobe, and Scott

Rumsfeld Ramble Wins ´Foot in Mouth´ Award

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld´s curious statement at a press briefing was named on Monday as the year´s most baffling comment by a public figure.

Rumsfeld, usually renowned for his uncompromising tough talking, was awarded the "Foot in Mouth" award for a confusing message which probably left his audience in the dark as to its meaning, Britain´s Plain English Campaign said.

"Reports that say something hasn´t happened are interesting to me, because as we know, there are known unknowns; there things we know we know," Rumsfeld told the briefing.

"We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don´t know we don´t know."

John Lister, spokesman for the campaign which strives to have public information delivered in clear, straightforward English, said: "We think we know what he means. But we don´t know if we really know."
