Some days you're the bug; some days you're the windshield.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.
That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.

If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.

Don't be irreplaceable; if you can't be replaced, you can't be promoted.

It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

It is far more impressive when others discover your good qualities without your help.

If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

Generally speaking, you aren't learning much when your mouth is moving.

Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Here is the excerpted 2004 Horoscope for the coming year which is available together with a ten year forecast at the link below. When clicking through the link you will also be able to take a generic preview of the years 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 for each of your signs, together with an introduction for each year. More indepth monthly astrological comments will be forthcoming for my NewsLetter subscribers in the weeks to come.

As The World Turns in 2004

2004 is the year of speculation, innovation, conjecture, and new alliances. Spiritually the world splits into several levels - reality and anti-reality, gravity and anti-gravity, matter and anti-matter. Shifts of consciousness will gradually take people towards new interests and other dimensions. A new cosmology dawns. Teaching will be more interesting via the web, which transforms into an omni net. Families and homes will take on new meanings, as clans will gather and start moving around.

People will learn to go within and to become one with the web of life. Heads of states will roll worldwide. August and September is a potentially very dangerous and volatile time with a bunch of planets in the pan Arabian Mars point in Virgo challenged by transcending Pluto. I anticipate the Middle East to blow up just in time for the US “election”. I predicted Bush stays in the White House – not sure though he will finish his 2nd term..

While the inevitable and nefarious trend to a one-world government continues via wars, deceptions, and atrocities - with either Bush and/or Clintons - a sub-culture of new international thinkers, artists, and leaders emerges elsewhere. Children will become family leaders; dedication to belief systems, philosophy, arts, and humanities will expand, as it usually does in times of distress. The internet will be used in different ways. Independently produced movies, music, and books will be seen on new gadget screens.

People will start to question the matrix of life and the sense of their lives. The trend for economic success will be to become self-sufficient and to re-organize into smaller and livable communities. It will behoove people to reach out to one another and to make friends all across the globe. Sign by sign, planet by planet, you adapt to these times in the following ways:

2004 starts at warp speed for you. Place yourself ahead of change; persevere! Don't waste a minute; promote yourself. Begin a new dawn, yet be aware that Saturn tests you at times while Uranus trails you in your house of undoing, forcing you into mutable mysticism. Home front undergoes changes all year long. In February, your action radius expands. Financial transactions are favored. Your outlook is optimistic. Vernal equinox (3/21) is swiftness; new moon forms on the Celtic New Year in the first degree of Aries, and Mars moves into quick silvery Gemini – to accelerate life. Look for many more options. Probably relocation or a safe home is well aspected. During summer, you promote your work, services, and business affairs. By October, your relationships experience many new boosts. The year ends on a tenacious and secretive note. This is one of your best years in a long time, albeit fraught with challenges.

Relationships and financial matters are good news in 2004. Things start to make more sense after years of relative floundering. Your best new income source lies in networking and in applied teaching of previous skills you excelled at years ago. February & March, you are totally in charge. From mid May to end of June you feel at a loss, your popularity turning inwards to a quest for your inner values. Summer is for multi-faceted relating, with many potential alliances, and choices to opt from. Destinies on hold before 2004 should come knocking on your door now. Diligent work, harvest, nose to the grindstone, and an eye for your co-dependents 11 pay off. Year's end wants you to be careful, to investigate well, suggesting you supervise your partners carefully. The climate is gentle compared to the recent past. Yet, the phases of life are rapidly changing. Keep in step by expecting the unexpected. Network with the web of life!

Pluto still looks you into the inner eye from afar. You turn your interest toward things exotic. Untried belief systems start to awaken your higher sense of destiny. Uranus in your heaven's gate prods you into philosophical contemplations. Saturn slows down your financial net worth. Times in which not to sign agreements are the first weeks of January, all of April, August 9th to September 2nd, and November 29 to December 21st. You and retrograde Mercury make for a mental anxiety package during those weeks. Best to review what you did before, or repair your car and phones. Your best phase is March 21st to August 7th, feeling popular. May 17th to June 29th is for deep introspection, when a meaningful friendship which slipped through your mercurial fingers last year may come back for a 2nd chance; emotions run deep. At the end of 2004, you will look forward to a serious alliance, balance, and peace of mind: The reality checkpoint.

Saturn all year long in visit makes for a fragile emotional safety zone. Harsh tests of endurance are served. Notions of home, roots, and family undergo deep structural changes. Do not fret. This instability comes and goes only once every 29 years. It too shall pass. All of May, June and July you deploy productive activity. By August, you feel loved, and by September, you know it was all worth it. Fall could turn out to be one of your best financial moments. The 10/27 full moon eclipse is the key: you feel like secluding during November and December, a time in which you must not consider any long-term commitments of any sort. You are better off reviewing the progress you made in ten months against all odds. Saturn is said to bring massive rewards to those who navigate life in a timely and appropriate manner. Reach out and make new friends in your close geographical surroundings. You are the caretaker and care giver all year long.

Relationships remain on the romantic or dreamy side. There is detachment all around you. Your lion heart becomes more gregarious and your activity zone expands past March. May to September - July being the peak time - your belief in yourself and your ability to close and manage good deals expand considerably. You become the magnet of society around you. The last three months of 2004 the theme changes: Artistic creative expressiveness reaches an all time high, and real love is in the air. The climate of 2004 is contradictory. At times, you reach out and make a large profit. At other times, you must recharge the batteries in your lion's den. You might want to check into ways of community service, to see where you can be of benefit, while still center of attraction. The risks are few, challenges are many, but you will see opportunities in them. The last 60 days of 2004, you are better off being at home giving the party.

Intellectual powers are yours all of 2004. You are extremely busy during the first 120 days preparing a strategic goal. Detail planning of alternatives will come in handy later. Cinco de Mayo (5/5), Jupiter green lights your quests after 11 years of analysis paralysis. The next 120 days, see you on an unprecedented expansion course - recruiting people. Jupiter aligned with Mars & Sun all of September in your sign will bring in the harvest of a decade. In October, your popularity soars. Be discerning, start investing in art and fundamental values, partnerships and alliances beyond boundaries. Uranus demands these associations to be of free spirit, liberating, and mystical of nature. As of November, you get a chance to travel into encounters of the quiet kind. 2004 is in many ways the ultimate Virgo year of service, a big victory in your life. All previous efforts will pay off handsomely. You may take on the role of teacher or dean of society.

Life gets a tad tougher for the taste of the peacemaker. Career matters come under scrutiny all year long, as does the home and family front. Home may well be where you heal and where you can be of service to others. Work takes on new forms with Uranus liberating your 6th solar house. Relating to yourself is the key from mid May to end of June. Until the end of September, you have to close loose ends of your life and prepare for a completely new start in your life. As the sun, Mars and Jupiter enter your sign in the last week of September, a new era of selfassertion and material expansion dawns for you. The last 100 days of 2004 are your best times by far, when you expand your horizons, make new friends, travel, and bolster your financial affairs. Dreams on hold for many years come to stylish fruition in November. For this reason, you must prepare well in 2004, and make a serious effort to position yourself for that time.

This is a complex year for the control soul of professionalism. Uranus breaks you out of the mold in matters of the heart. It means free love. Don't even think of jealousy or possessiveness, let go of what did not work. The South Node of Karma transits your sign all year long, making you look into concepts of past life times; you pay off some old debts to get on par. The beginning of the year gives you great new opportunities. End of March to end of August your transformation potential must come from within because your ruler Pluto moves backwards on you. As of September, you can expand again. Fast forward in your planning to 10/27 when the spectacular total Scorpio full moon eclipse puts you in touch with the reformer in you. Spirituality and philosophy take on functions unknown hitherto in your life. Financially speaking this is a great year for you. The last 100 days of 2004 is when you manifest results. Investigate new strategies.

Ruler Jupiter rolls back as the year opens, and keeps you internalizing your grand plans until 5/5, when your 2003 ideals are revised. Career structure, higher studies of faith and belief, service and ethics are aspects to promote until 5/5, and long distance travel or faraway relocation makes sense after 5/5 and 10/12. Uranus seriously questions your fundamental childhood values. You may well decide to take surprisingturns as life may toss unexpected curve balls your way. Particularly if born between 11/22 and 11/30 you will feel how things break apart; born between 12/12 and 12/15 you feel the erosion of Pluto shape shifting your inner core. April & May you must see others' view points. In June, an old flame might bounce back. You are in the cross hairs of diverging energies pulling you in several directions. You need priorities. By year-end, you must create many new networks. Inner & outer changes transform you 14 totally.

Healer Chiron resumes his journey through your sign. Born after January 9th this affects you more, as your bone and life structure will transform. Ruler Saturn opposes you from Cancer all year long, checking the reality of your relationships, business partnerships, and home. In a way, 2004 polarizes the essence of your being. The best advice is to engage into serious therapy healing from within, and to let go of the ambitious concepts that only tend to come back at you like a boomerang. The first & last two months of 2004 are not a time to commit in any new direction, which leaves you March to October as the best time to organize the long haul. The ideal area to deploy your force is towards new friendships with the little people, teaching and nursing, as odd as it sounds, your priorities and tastes change. Spring and summer is time to test the benefit of partnership by seeing it form his/her viewpoint. Funding projects looks good.

Uranus enlightened you as it were, and now Neptune plays the paint thinner in your life. Your job is to show your surrounding a new kind of reality from within. Expand your networks and friendships in winter. Solidify your home in spring. Test into detached loves during summer. Use your mental and organizational skills in ways as to tap into new funding sources that look well aspected from May to September. As of October, you feel you have achieved much more in one year than in many years in the past: your popularity is sky high, and people follow you. There is one friend in your life that will always be your friend. Make this person your ally for the long haul. There are enormous amounts of work piling up on you, as you may be called upon to become in a way the chief of your clan. From mid June to early November your ruling planet Uranus backs into you. At that time, you want to tread carefully and reshape yourself.

If the choice is between unconditional love and sanity, go for unconditional functionality. Fast-forward to the end my friend: Life changing decisions. Your world depends on you, as you now also must take on leadership functions to make matters more complex. If it was ok to be kind and sensitive, now you lead the revolt: No prisoners! For many years, you will be the Alpha and the Omega, or the glue that keeps things together. Spring sees you storming ahead financially, summer sees you moving to new places, fall sees you engineering networks and cementing alliances. By year's end, you must investigate how to deploy your strategic command of undercurrents. Too many ask you for favors; even you have to prioritize your life. Chances are you settle for one ally worthy of you. Look after yourself; merge a career in secrecy and in the lime light. If anyone can balance this act, it is you. Financial independence is yours by year's end.

Mondo Quake in Pacific Northwest?

By Leander Kahney

Geologists have discovered evidence of a massively powerful earthquake zone beneath the Pacific Northwest just offshore from the Seattle area. They made the discovery by piecing together ancient accounts of a giant Japanese tsunami and a computer simulation of a huge tremblor in the 17th century.

Thought to be inactive, the earthquake zone runs 600 miles up the Pacific Coast from Northern California to southern British Columbia. It appears to be subject to monster quakes every 500 years.

... the paper's authors present a solid case that a magnitude-9 quake on Tuesday, January 26, 1700, sent a 15-foot tsunami into Japan about 14 hours later...

"It flooded farmed fields, ruined salt kilns, damaged fishermen's shacks, ascended a castle moat, entered a government warehouse, drove people to high ground, and probably ran 2 kilometers up a river," the paper says. "It wrecked houses not only by flooding them but also by starting a fire. It contained multiple waves that range in reported time from midnight until the following noon. The tsunami initiated a nautical accident in which were lost two crew members and tons of rice."

... Atwood said the link was provided by stands of dead trees along the coast that drowned in seawater between August 1699 and January 1700. Their time of death was determined by the trees' last growth ring.

... During the quake, the sea floor stretched 60 feet and dropped 5 feet. "It was a sudden lowering of a sizeable chunk of the ocean floor," Atwood said, "The ocean rushed in, and that's what created the tsunami."

... Atwood said the geological record indicates the fault ruptures about once every 500 years and is capable of unleashing "truly giant earthquakes."

He said only three quakes this century compare in magnitude -- a 9.0 quake in Kamchatka in 1952, a 9.5 quake in Chile in 1960 and a 9.2 tremblor in Alaska in 1964.

"The 1906 earthquake (in San Francisco) was a very big earthquake, but this thing in 1700 was in a different class," said Atwood.

He said the fault, which is long and slopes gently under the North American tectonic plate, is characterized by tremors that last for several minutes. "It is very challenging for building design," he said. "Most earthquakes don't last that long. We have no experience for building to withstand it." ...

The Joke Is No Longer Funny

By Wayne Sneedon
Editorial - The Ticker
Baruch College - City Universtiy Of New York

Our professors have joked about it. We joke about it with our friends. But it's just a joke, a relic from the "bad old days." The draft is gone forever, isn't it? Think again.

Become acquainted with the Universal National Service Act of 2003, H.R. 163, introduced on January 7, 2003. This act, can be found on the website of the U.S. Congress at (

This act as seen on the website states: Universal National Service Act of 2003

Title: A bill to provide for the common defense by requiring that all young persons in the United States, including women, perform a period of military service or a period of civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security, and for other purposes.

It declares that it is the obligation of every U.S. citizen, and every other person residing in the United States, between the ages of 18 and 26 to perform a two-year period of national service, unless exempted, either as a member of an active or reserve component of the armed forces or in a civilian capacity that promotes national defense. Requires induction into national service by the President. Sets forth provisions governing: (1) induction deferments, postponements, and exemptions, including exemption of a conscientious objector from military service that includes combatant training; and (2) discharge following national service. Amends the Military Selective Service Act to authorize the military registration of females.

Let's take a look at the contentions in this bill for a moment. First, we notice that it becomes the "obligation" of every person in the United States between 18 and 26 to serve two years in the military. "Obligation," means no choice in the matter. In addition, the Military Selective Service Act is amended to include women. It would appear that this also extends to non-citizens and immigrants, based on the phrase, "every other person residing in the United States." ...

H.R. 163 also teams with its sister bill, S. 89. These are two separate bills, written with the exact same lingo. The difference? One sits with the House, the other with the Senate. ...

When will this happen? Both bills are on the floor of the Congress, waiting to be picked up and voted on. It is unlikely that we will see this before the election in 2004. No president seriously seeking reelection would dare try to impose a mandatory draft and military service. However, once Bush ends up with a second term, he is basically free to do anything he wants. Look for this in 2005, according to the Selective Service System fiscal year 2004 plan (

President Bush is spending $28 million (see plans 1-3 at the above website for dollar amounts) to have the Selective Service system ready to report to him on March 31, 2005, and then to have the system ready for activation within 75 days. This would make the approximated date of the return of the draft June 15, 2005. All of these numbers can be figured out by reading the above link. ...

Hmmm ....

300,000 lose power near Cape ... Hundreds of thousands of people lost power last night in southeastern Massachusetts from New Bedford to Provincetown to the islands, closing stores, heightening danger at busy intersections, and forcing rescue workers to increase the number of ambulances responding to emergency calls.

Signs of the Times #521
TransCanada says Alberta Gas Pipeline Ruptures [Dec 2] ‘TransCanada Corp, one of the largest natural gas transporters in North America, said its pipeline system ruptured twice on Monday and Tuesday in a remote area of northwest Alberta. The first rupture occurred late Monday afternoon on an underground gas pipeline in a remote area about 70 miles (110 km) southeast of Grande Prairie, Alberta, she said. The second rupture occurred early Tuesday about 10 miles (17 km) downstream of the first rupture. Both ruptures were accompanied by fire’

Sydney Went Bang, and Nobody Knew Why [Dec 3] ‘Buildings shook, windows rattled and terrified residents thought their homes were crashing around them - but nobody has any idea what caused a mysterious explosion that shook Sydney´s north and west late last night. Police began receiving phone calls about 10.20 of an enormous explosion, with reports coming from an area stretching from Wiseman´s Ferry to the lower Blue Mountains. In about 20 minutes, Riverstone police station alone received more than 100 calls from worried residents.’ [and from another source] Freak Hailstorm Hits Melbourne [Dec 3] ‘Locals said the 20-minute storm hit the suburb about 4PM with hailstones the size of golf balls.’ [and from another source] Yesterday [Dec 2] the weather seemed normal for Oregon, rainy and a high in upper 40's. Today [Dec 3] the Sun is out and we are pushing 60. This is March weather not December, the grass is starting to grow again.

Signs of the Times #522
Fox Creek is roughly 150 miles northwest of Edmonton, and as the weather has been unseasonably warm for this time of year, again the cold can not be blamed. They are very, very quickly blaming "pipeline fatigue" I've lived in this province my entire life and I've never heard of "pipeline fatigue" in a gasline break. [and from another source] Pipeline Blasts not Suspicious [Dec 3]‘Energy Minister Murray Smith says two pipeline explosions in northwestern Alberta were not due to acts of vandalism. During the normal course of business the lines are checked continually. Flames from the ruptured line near Little Smoky were visible in the night from kilometres away, said witnesses.’

Signs of the Times #520
Cracks Let Solar Wind Disrupt Earth's Atmosphere [Dec 3] ‘The solar wind pries open immense cracks in the Earth's magnetic field, holding them apart while it gushes through to cause geomagnetic storms, scientists reported on Wednesday.’ [Note: once again, NASA, who holds all the data that can prove this one way or the other, attempts to explain why our compasses are going wild.]

Signs of the Times #519 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
In Alaska [Dec 3] my compass is pointing East.! Just happened! I have lived up here all my life and I can tell you that our compasses point north or a little northeast or west at times, but never never do they point 48 degrees from normal. It is pointing east, and a little south! Close to Anchorage, southcentral. I have 2 sources. One compass away from any interference, ie speakers, TVs and such. Also have a large computer magnet attatched to our ceiling with paper underneath to mark the degrees away from any other magnetic sources and they are reading the same variation. [and from another poster] Connecticut reporting in. I have a cheap floating compass and it is pointing east at the wall that should be North! I checked again, it has swung back toward normal, but still seems a bit NE instead of N. [and from another poster] In the Carolina Mountains, 33-34 latitude, 83-84 longtitude, tonight my compass is more than 25 degrees NE of usual! The past six months the compass swings back and forth 6-8%, but never as much as this! My compass is not a ´good´ one, but it lies in the same place on my desktop and there is nothing around to cause it to swing off. [and from another poster] I am in north central BC and mine is NE more east than it should be though. I am in the bush I do use my compass so do not think anything is wrong with it. [and from another poster] I took out my Army Engineers compass, the reading was still showing magnetic north a full 10 degrees off expected position. I also took to compass to an outside location to validate and remove any possible variables due to wiring etc. At this point in time, I see something terribly wrong with the earth´s magnetics. I have confered with many in the know. If what I am measuring is for real, and I suspect that it is, we are experiencing events which are a first for historically recorded human experience.

A freak thunderstorm hit Melbourne in Australia on Wednesday, causing widespread flooding and leaving drivers stranded on the roofs of their cars. Firefighters had to use boats to rescue people as more than 100 millimetres of rain were dumped on the city in just over two hours. "This is a once in 100 year event," local forecaster Dean Stewart said. Emergency services said they had received 1,000 calls and hundreds of homes had been flooded or damaged.

A government minister has called for a swift report into a power cut which left tens of thousands of people in Northern Ireland without electricity.

There's a report that at least three of India's biggest cities will be underwater by 2020 In addition, over the weekend a group of German scientists reported that shortly thereafter, the worldwide water levels will rise upwards of 30-feet or more.

In a rare turn of seismic events, two minor earthquakes shook Norman on Monday. The first quake at 9:50 a.m. ranked at a magnitude of 1.7 on the Richter scale and the second at 1:18 p.m. brought a 2.0 magnitude, according to initial data from the Oklahoma Geological Survey, said geologist Kenneth Luza.

The second tropical storm of December-named Peter, was announced at 10 am EST this morning,by The National Hurricane Center. This is very rare,in fact this is the first time this has happened since 1887.

Snow piled up nearly a foot deep Tuesday in western Nebraska as a new storm blew out of the Rockies and across the Plains and upper Midwest ... By noon Tuesday, a band of snow stretched from the Texas Panhandle across parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota and northern Wisconsin ... Earlier, the storm had left as much as 19 inches of snow at ski resorts in the Colorado Rockies.

Startled East Coast residents from North Carolina to Maryland were shaken Tuesday by an earthquake that registered a preliminary magnitude of 4.5. The U.S. Geological Survey (news - web sites) said the quake occurred about 28 miles west of Richmond — 104 miles south-southwest of Washington. There were numerous reports from people who felt it in three states and the District of Columbia.

'Miserable failure' links to Bush

George W Bush has been Google bombed. Web users entering the words "miserable failure" into the popular search engine are directed to the biography of the president on the White House website.

The trick is possible because Google searches more than just the contents of web pages - it also counts how often a site is linked to, and with what words.

Thus, members of an online community can affect the results of Google searches - called "Google bombing" - by linking their sites to a chosen one ... more

Universe Events - Hyper-spatial geometry applied to predicting future solar activity cycles

Recent events observed on the sun now make discussion about existence of solar change moot. The change has propagated to earth to the extent that environmental changes are now altering both the human habitat as well as life patterns. The huge death toll from the summer of 2003 in Europe is just the beginning. Manifesting as the impacts of a warming globe, humans can expect severe impacts in future years on their society and resource allocation.

Recent decades have seen an increase in all forms of 'natural disaster' which has been reflected in insurance company balance sheets as well as in the toll of loss of life, habitat, and property. This increase has accelerated at an increasing rate since 1975 with a further increase in the rate of increase beginning in 1995. Recent global death tolls and property damage reports further suggest that 2003 will be a dividing point for analyzing future history.

As the first of the 'abnormal' years where more records in all categories from weather events to disease states, 2003 also delineates 2002 as the last of the 'normal' years in which only about half of the weather and other records were broken. At this juncture, the likelihood is for more years like 2003 than like 2002. In other words, 2003 marks the end of the beginning and the progression into a new state of human and environment relations. ...

Based on our current understanding of these developing cycles, the next dangerously active period for earth dwelling humans relative to solar flaring and cycles would begin the week of December 14th 2003 with the most likely period of peaking activity being December 18 through the 24th.

If the geometry is correct, humans should see increased 'freak' or 'peak' weather with increased likelihood of electrical infrastructure impacts during this period and through the last week of December as the rotation after effects *(residual high energy impacts launched earilier) linger.

Of course, the period of rotation is not fixed, and involves more vertexes than are shown in the interlocking tetrahedrons. We will post any changes observed in the rotational period.

And of note, the 'dangerous periods' of solar flaring are not the only real danger. Solar radiation is rising and humans are experiencing all the effects of this radiation increase in their weather patterns as well as increases in earthquakes and other diverse effects including increased skin cancers and shorted clothing fiber life. So aware caution is advised both for the increased periods of solar activity and daily solar interaction.

You see, 'Imagine' was exactly the same message, but sugar- coated. Now 'Imagine' is a big hit almost everywhere--anti-religious, anti-nationalistic, anti-conventional, anti-capitalistic song, but because it is sugar coated it is accepted. Now I understand what you have to do. Put your political message across with a little honey."

Subject: E-Mail From A Capt in Iraq

We knew there was a dinner planned with Ambassador Bremer and LTG Sanchez.

There were 600 seats available and all the units in the division were tasked with filling a few tables. Naturally, the 501st MI battalion got our table. Soldiers were grumbling about having to sit through another "dog-and-pony show", so we had to pick soldiers to attend. I chose not to go.

But, about 1500 the G2, LTC Devan, came up to me and with a smile, asked me to come to dinner with him, to meet him in his office at 1600 and bring a camera. I didn't really care about getting a picture with Sanchez or Bremer, but when the division's senior intelligence officer asks you to go, you go.

We were seated in the chow hall, fully decorated for Thanksgiving when aaaaallllll kinds of secret service guys showed up. That was my first clue, because Bremer's been here before and his personal security detachment is not! that big.

Then BG Dempsey got up to speak, and he welcomed ambassador Bremer and LTG Sanchez. Bremer thanked us all and pulled out a piece of paper as if to give a speech. He mentioned that the President had given him this thanksgiving speech to give to the troops. He then paused and said that the senior man present should be the one to give it. He then looked at Sanchez, who just smiled. Bremer then said that we should probably get someone more senior to read the speech.

Then, from behind the camouflage netting, the President of the United States came around. The mess hall actually erupted with hollering. Troops bounded to their feet with shocked smiles and just began cheering with all their hearts. The building actually shook. It was just unreal. I was absolutely stunned. Not only for the obvious, but also because I was only two tables away from the podium. There he stood, less than thirty feet away from me!

The cheering went on and on and on. Soldiers were hollering, cheering, and a lot of them were crying. There was not a dry eye at my table. When he stepped up to the cheering, I could clearly see tears running down his cheeks. It was the most surreal moment I've had in years. Not since my wedding and Aaron being born. Here was this man, our President, came
all the way around the world, spending 17 hours on an airplane and landing in the most dangerous airport in the world, where a plane was shot out of the sky not six days before. Just to spend two hours with his troops. Only to get on a plane and spend another 17 hours flying back. It was a great moment, and I will never forget it.

He delivered his speech, which we all loved, when he looked right at me and held his eyes on me. Then he stepped down and was just mobbed by the soldiers. He slowly worked his way all the way around the chow hall and shook every last hand extended. Every soldier who wanted a photo with the President got one. I made my way through the line, got dinner, then wolfed it down as he was still working the room. You could tell he was really enjoying himself. It wasn't just a photo opportunity. This man was actually enjoying himself! He worked his way over the course of about 90 minutes towards my side of the room.

Meanwhile, I took the opportunity to shake a few hands. I got a picture with Ambassador Bremer, Talabani (acting Iraqi president) and Achmed Chalabi (another member of the ruling council) and Condaleeza Rice, who was there with him. I felt like I was drunk.

He was getting closer to my table so I went back over to my seat. As he passed and pos! ed for photos, he looked me in the eye and said, "How you doin', captain." I smiled and said "God bless you, sir." To which he responded "I'm proud of what you do, captain." Then moved on.

Think you're already amazed, alarmed or appalled enough by the state
of US journalism today? Chew on this a while and think again.
Grieving New Hampshire widow who lost her man on 9/11 refuses the
government's million dollar hush money payoff, studies the facts of
the day for nearly two years, and comes to believe the White House
"intentionally allowed 9/11 to happen" to launch a so-called "War on
Terrorism" for personal and political gain. She retains a prominent
lawyer, a former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania, who served
with distinction under both Democrats and Republicans and was once a
strong candidate for the governor's seat.

The attorney files a 62-page complaint in federal district court
(including 40 pages of prima facie evidence) charging that "President
Bush and officials including, but not limited to Cheney, Rumsfeld,
Rice, Ashcroft and Tenet":
1.) had adequate foreknowledge of 911 yet failed to warn the county
or attempt to prevent it;
2.) have since been covering up the truth of that day;
3.) have therefore abetted the murder of plaintiff's husband and
violated the Constitution and multiple laws of the United States; and
4.) are thus being sued under the Civil RICO (Racketeering,
Influence, and Corrupt Organization) Act for malfeasant conspiracy,
obstruction of justice and wrongful death...

...Imagine the world-churning implications of these charges. Imagine
the furor if just one was proved true. Imagine the courage of this
bribe-shunning widow and an eminent attorney with his rep on the
line. Then imagine a press conference to which nobody came... ...Now
imagine the air time, column inches and talk show hysteria that same
night devoted to the legal hassles of Michael, Kobe, and Scott

Rumsfeld Ramble Wins ´Foot in Mouth´ Award

Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld´s curious statement at a press briefing was named on Monday as the year´s most baffling comment by a public figure.

Rumsfeld, usually renowned for his uncompromising tough talking, was awarded the "Foot in Mouth" award for a confusing message which probably left his audience in the dark as to its meaning, Britain´s Plain English Campaign said.

"Reports that say something hasn´t happened are interesting to me, because as we know, there are known unknowns; there things we know we know," Rumsfeld told the briefing.

"We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns -- the ones we don´t know we don´t know."

John Lister, spokesman for the campaign which strives to have public information delivered in clear, straightforward English, said: "We think we know what he means. But we don´t know if we really know."

Signs of the Times -

Signs of the Times #503 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
I live in Charlottesville, VA. I have been watching my compass very closely for weeks. Taking Nov 10 as a starting point, here´s a short list of the movement of magnetic north: a 3 degree move westward lasting for a few days, an additional 5 degree move, a pullback to 7 degrees westward lasting for a day, a return to 3 degrees westward from reference point, an 18 degree swing eastward on Nov 20, a further 4 degree swing eastward on Nov 25, a 2 degree retreat westward the the current position. In summary, in just over two weeks the magnetic north pole has moved within a range of 27 degrees. The current position of magnetic north is way eastward.

Signs of the Times #502 (via email to Nancy)
It looked like a Second Sun, my brother came and saw it. He even asked: ‘What?! Is that the Sun again?!’ Wish you could have seen that Sun, it had all red around... though the Planet X didn’t shine so brightly as the Sun did... But I was astonished when I saw that sharp shimmering red circle ... The Sun was gone and darkness was about. Suddenly into the sunset, a sort of glimmering began to appear, and about 3 or 4 minutes later it was scarlet. The sunset had finished already. ... Some 5 minutes passed and there was light coming, more and more, and the sunset itself turned out to be surpsisingly red, so from down below the clouds were shockingly red, and in the centre we noticed a light ball that was emitting a few rays up and along aside. 10 minutes later the lights started to die dramatically and darkness fell. [Note: reported by Michael Grigoriev, 21 Nov., after the sunset, from the capital of Moldavia, Chisineu.]

Signs of the Times #501 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
My son has also seen it. He spends a lot of sunsets and sunrises on the golf courses on the mountains ridges of NC. My husband had to say that he had seen it with the naked eye. As we were walking down the beach the other day I said to him ‘If the sun is setting over there’ pointing towards the right. ‘What is that light there?’ Pointing to the left out over the ocean. He said, ‘I don´t know.’ [and from another] This morning [Nov 26] walking to work I looked up and thought I saw the sun through the clouds. Then I looked to my right, and there was the Sun, much larger than the other sun I had seen through the light clouds. It was hazy enough that looking at either of them did not hurt my eyes. Since I haven´t even looked for a Second Sun in months and am half sceptical about the Planet X hypotheses anyway, this was a shocker. [and from another] That is similar to how I saw it most recently. My husband called me to come out of the house. I stood on the front steps and saw what I believed to be the Sun behind a little bit of cloud. And then I saw the Sun, which had been behind the next house. When I saw both together, it was clear which was the real sun, and the one that I mistook for the sun was clearly smaller.

Signs of the Times #500 (via email to Nancy)
I am at 7,000 foot elevation in NM. At 11:00 PM the horizon to the SSW was still light like a late sunset [Nov 25]. This is most unusual and not at all normal. The lighted horizon is slowly fading and the clock time is now approaching midnight. This is where the sun has been setting the past few weeks, but always an immediate dark horizon. [and from another email] The sky was so light in Missouri [Nov 26], it felt like the sunrise was 20 minutes early, where is was only 6 minutes early! Last night, it was very light, for a long time. [and from another email] Honolulu Sunrise was supposed to occur at 6:48 AM. Something else is rising at 5:30 AM. It isn't the moon because moonrise for Honolulu isn't until 8:56 AM. [Note: photo at right.]

Signs of the Times #499 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
I live near the East Coast and have been noticing the high tides have been getting alarmingly high. I have never in my life observed this before. The other day on the radio in the morning I heard a warning for flooding in low lying areas due to the tides. This I have never heard bfore either. [and from another] We´ve had 20 to 50 foot waves crashing into the north east side of all the Hawaii islands [Nov 25]. This has never happened before. [Note: this is a ZetaTalk prediction in 1999 and 2000.]

Signs of the Times #498 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
The Indians have announced they had a big meeting and they believed it was no longer safe to be in the Seattle area. In Yellowstone they have followed the lead of the animals who have vacated the area. It is only in the danger zone I believe 600 miles surrounding the Park. In Seattle is was not difficult to make that decision as thumping has been heard under the ground and it sounded like the ancient drums near the villages which is the final warning the Indians said they were expecting. The ancestors left prophecies and drumming was the signal.

Signs of the Times #497 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
I do not believe Bush went to Iraq [Nov 27]. There are no actual video footage of him outside of the tent, period. That tent could be on Ft Carson, Colorado, Andrews AFB, or some tent on his ranch in Crawford. There is not a shred of proof he went. [and from another] On Monday [Nov 25] at Ft Carson. Bush had no tan, his face was as cold as ice, though not as red as in London last Thursday. The video of today, his face was all reddish, burnt and peeling [photo at right]. Like he´d been out in the sun for days! So are we to believe he spent all day Tuesday outside in the late November Texan sun? [and from another] I certainly wouldn´t be surprised if he had a double. [and from another] He didn´t get that sunburn in Iraq, because he barely got off the plane. The entire photo/PR op was inside the hangar. [Note: rumors of several Bush look-alikes have long been rumored.]

Signs of the Times #496
Evidence Indicates Wellstone Crash was No Accident [Nov 20] ‘An abrupt cessation of communication between the plane and the tower took place at about 10:18 a.m., the same time an odd cell phone phenomenon occurred with a driver in the immediate vicinity. ... Carol Carmody, a former employee with the CIA, the head of the team, announced the day after that the FBI had found no indications of terrorist involvement. ... the cause of the crash, which has yet to be determined to this very day. So how could the FBI possibly know? ... The FBI´s prompt arrival was peculiar. ... the Duluth office of the FBI and was told that the team of ´recovery´ agents had not come from Duluth but had traveled from the FBI office in Minneapolis. I calculate that this team would have had to have left the Twin Cities at about the same time the Wellstone plane was taking off.'

Signs of the Times #494 (via email to Nancy)
This evening [Nov 24] in Salt Lake City, Utah our local television news station KSL showed a picture of this bright object in the sky next to the sun. This is the third time in the last two weeks that this station has reported on this subject. They are trying to explain to their watching public what this object is. The weather people are calling this a Sundog. Except this Sundog does not seem to go away. [and from another source] I saw this thing with my own eyes a few times. In fact, my Mother, who knew nothing about the fact that planet X was supposed to be there, spotted it first. This was almost 2 months ago that I saw it first. I also saw it about a week ago, and it is definately bigger.

Signs of the Times #493 (ZeatTalk)
The situation in Iraq has become obvious, where citizens now drag US Military from their vehicles and kill them with their bare hands. Such is the degree to which the Bush/Blair coalition have won the hearts and minds of the people there. How might this conflict zone, and others around the world, move as the pole shift precursors overtake them, quakes tumbling the cities and tearing up the roadways, gas and oil lines rupturing and becoming infernos, and communications virtually worthless with satellites lost and sudden power outages? ZetaTalk: Conflict Zone

Signs of the Times #492 (ZetaTalk)
Envisioning the dire situation in the days leading up to the shift, and following, many good hearted folk wonder what they are supposed to do when there is a single loaf of bread for supper and a thousand mouths to feed. Of course, this is no different than today, for many. Starvation is rampant around the world, in many countries indigenous, so it is only those in affluent environments who wonder such things. Those already starving know how these matters are settle. But the reaction to starvation differs immensely, based on spiritual orientation. ZetaTalk: Starvation

Signs of the Times #491 ‘The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has advised federal agencies to initiate emergency counterterrorism measures.... The department´s current terror threat level stands at yellow, or elevated, indicating there is only a significant risk of terrorist attacks. Publicly, it has recommended Americans continue with plans for work or leisure. Behind the scenes, however, it has directed federal and state law enforcement, as well as security personnel, to initiate protective measures under its highest threat level – red – a condition when there is an imminent risk of terrorist attacks.’ [and from another source] Britain on Red Alert [Nov23] ‘The plan to step up to the highest possible security state follows last weeks devastating terrorist attacks on British targets in Turkey ... Fears of martyrdom operations by terrorists against targets in Britain were heightened last night after it emerged that a possible poison attack in London was thwarted last year.’ [Note: if the poison attempt was a year ago, why the wait? Perhaps the security is over Planet X, in reality.]

Signs of the Times #490 (via email to Nancy)
Something to do with magnetic field disturbance maybe: More than 100 dead whales have been found [Nov 24] on a remote stretch of Tasmania's west coast. He said it was believed there were 103 whales on the beach and they had apparently been dead for sometime. A similar event occurred in New Zealand only a week ago.

Signs of the Times #489 (via email to Nancy)
Once again the weather is going crazy down here in Brasil [Nov 21]. Yesterday in day time it was about 35 celsius, and today (day time) about 15 C. When the sun is out it´s boiling hot,but when clouds cover the sun the tempeture drops dramaticly. This kind of weather we see down here in autum or winter time. The problem is that we are in spring, almost into summer time. [and from another source] Yesterday [Nov 21] it was 74 degrees here in the Ozarks. At 2:30 AM this morning it was 68 and the wind was howling. 8 AM the temp was 70 with heavy rain. It´s now 5:15 PM and 40 degrees with a freeze warning for tonight. Temps are expected to be in the mid 20´s with wind chill in the teens. Everything´s normal, go shopping.

Signs of the Times #488 (via email to Nancy)
I looked [Nov 23] at the rising sun in Guyana, using my diskette film. The Sun is still very bright so I put on a blue tinted Rayban shades and looked again through the filter. I was stunned to see a round object about half the size of the Sun at the 8 o'clock position, left of the Sun. Still faint but very much present. When I looked through the diskette film alone I could not see it. When I used a brown shade I also could not see it. I advise people to try this method. [and from another source] Saw this yesterday [Nov 24] with my large pinhole experiment. From here in Connecticut, it was a huge bulge from the sun at 8 o´clock also.

Signs of the Times #487 (Nancy)
Slowing, across the board. This is slight, but consistent, and just this week. A study on webcams photos, where the Date/Time stamp allowed comparison to Skymap, also showed a slowing trend across the board in November for sunrise and sunset. After rotational surging, Ecliptic bump up, Orbit halting, and occasional tilt, it is a relief to see just a steady late trend. Bear in mind we’re talking minutes here, a slow pace.

Signs of the Times #486 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
Nevada has been hit again [Nov 23]. 23Nov2003 12:19:59.0 40.7N 115.2W 10 M =4.5 M NEI NEVADA 1346 Northeast of Tonopah, it happened halfway across the state. However, you can draw a straight line from Long Valley CA, through Tonopah and this new quake, and come out remarkably near Yellowstone. Scallions´s line from Alaska to Mono Lake, CA to Yellowstone was actually a vivid warning. Look at the massive swarm near Alaska it had and unprecidented amount of large quakes in that swarm. Then look at The Nevada swarm which was just outside Mono it was an unprecidented swarm for Nevada by any means. We felt the little shakey on the 18th. Its more of a rumbling sound usually, but than again we´ve been hearing rumbles and alot of distant boooms at night when its quiet here. And no its not distant blasting! Its not sonic booms! More of a hollowness to it, no echo!

Signs of the Times #485
South Korea [Nov 19] ‘On Wednesday, some 70,000 farmers from across the country gathered in Yeouido, a Seoul district where the National Assembly is located, to condemn the government´s move to sign a free trade agreement with Chile, saying it will devastate the domestic farming industry. Thousands of riot police were deployed to block the farmers who wielded iron bars, bamboo sticks and other fighting instruments. After staging rallies in Yeouido and elsewhere, the farmers tried to march down streets, scuffling with riot police. .. In Buan, North Jeolla Province, more than 3,000 residents held a violent rally to denounce the government´s plan to build a nuclear waste dump in the area, claiming proper consultations were not made with the local community. Many of the demonstrators fought with police and hurled firebombs.’

Signs of the Times #484
Georgian Leader Pressured to Resign [Nov 22] ‘Thousands of protesters flooded the capital of Georgia and vowed not to leave until President Eduard Shevardnadze resigns over a parliamentary election scandal that has transformed into a full-blown national crisis. ... This poverty-stricken country has slid into its biggest political crisis in years, with pro- and anti-Shevardnadze forces vowing to avoid bloodshed but also refusing to budge. Both sides are amassing thousands of supporters in the already tense capital. ... Calls for Shevardnadze's resignation reflect growing popular resentment at the widespread unemployment, poverty and chaos here 12 years after the Soviet Union collapsed.’

Signs of the Times #483 (via email to Nancy)
Using the Air Lens today [Nov 21] the Planet X cluster in in three separate moon swirl sections. One is circular. Aparently the moons are not in trail now, but orbiting the planet. The second swirl is oval shaped today. It is perhaps 10X larger than the first. Third swirl is scattered. Thicker near second part and then gets sparse. I can distinguish the 3 parts with several filters, so I know there are 3. [Note: this description matches what has been captured, same time frame, from places around the world - New Zeland, Japan, and New York! Quadruple confirmation!]

Signs of the Times #482 (via email to Nancy)
A 30 inch water main exploded [Nov 18] according to the local news in Overland Park, Kansas. Looked like a huge fountain of water on the news, channel4 Fox. [and from another source] Broadcasting the finale and reunion of Survivor: Pearl Island live from Panama on December 14 ... were scrubbed after the Panama City landmark Arco Chato collapsed on November 7. The Arco Chato (flat arch), an elliptical arch built around 1675 as part of the Iglesia y Convento de Santo Domingo and one of Panama's top tourist attractions, had been intended to serve as the primary location for the live broadcast.

From someone in Poland. ‘We've had an EQ, anyway the windows are shaking here for several days. In my entire life this has never happened until now. Poland? Earthquake? This was not trucks or trains or planes. Just the barrroooom storm like effect. And the weather is completely out of calendar, we've had spring temperatures and the flowers on apple trees are blossoming for week or two. At one of our farms at north, a ground-hole appeared, it was approx seven meters deep, and round shaped. Ground-moving?’

Signs of the Times #480 (from godlikeproduction Message Board)
There are already more volcanoes going off than any other time in history that we know of, and the earthquakes at Rainer, St. Helens, Mt. Hood and Three sisters are not being reported at all. This I know from freinds in Cougar WA. Ground shook there this morning, not one report on USGS and they are not keeping up with the one´s they are reporting. There was a 2.0 here in Oregon 2 days ago [Nov 18] that was felt for 30 mile radius. How can a 2.0 generate that kind of shaking? It can´t. A 4.0 could but not a 2.0. There are alot of under reporting of the mag´s of quakes. [Note: no surprise to Troubled Times, which reported the quake and volcano Increase in 1995.]

On NOVA (PBS) a program all about the weakening of our earth's magnetic field [Nov 18]. For 300 years, (studies of magnetized pots and lava shows) the earth's field has been weakening and is on the decrease, may be overdue for the change. There was also a study made of Mars and the disappearance of its' magnetic field. I imagine that is one answer to why our magnets are fluctuating these days. They did say though the pole did shift 60 degrees in a matter of 10 days. The geologist has proof in the hardened lava. They said you could see the drift of up to 6 degrees/day. [Note: no surprise to Troubled Times, which had the Steens Mt. info on the web for ages.]

Signs of the Times #477 ‘What´s truly amazing, since some people here on Earth have been expecting and predicting a pole shift for some time now, is that the Russians report that Uranus and Neptune appear to have had recent pole shifts. When the Voyager II space probe flew past Uranus and Neptune, the apparent north and south magnetic poles were sizably offset from where the rotational pole was in earlier recordings. In one case, it was 50 degrees off, and in the other case the difference was around 40 degrees.’

Signs of the Times #476 ‘The atmospheres of Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune also are changing, according to the Russians, but they didn´t explain. The brightness of the planets is changing. Venus is showing marked increases in its overall brightness. Jupiter´s energetic charge has risen so high that there is actually a visible tube of ionizing radiation that´s formed between the surface of Jupiter and its moon Io. You can actually see the luminous energy tube in photographs that have been taken recently. Uranus and Neptune also are becoming brighter. The magnetic fields are changing. Jupiter´s magnetic field has more than doubled. Uranus´s magnetic field is changing no explanation. Neptune´s magnetic field is increasing. All three of these planets are becoming brighter, and their atmospheric qualities, say the Russians, are changing but they do not explain what is meant by this.'

Signs of the Times #475 'The Russians report two more facts: 1) On Earth, the overall volcanic activity increased 500 percent from 1875 to 1975, while the earthquake activity has increased by 400 percent since 1973. 2) Dr. Dmitriev says that comparing the years 1963 to 1993, the overall number of natural disasters hurricanes, typhoons, mud slides, tidal waves, etc. has increased by 410 percent. The Earth´s magnetic field has been decreasing. This decrease actually began 2000 years ago, but the rate of decrease suddenly became much more rapid 500 years ago. Now, in the last 20 years or so, the magnetic field has become erratic. Aeronautical maps of the world which are used to allow airplanes to land using automatic pilot systems have had to be revised worldwide in order for the automatic pilot systems to work.'

Signs of the Times #474 'Late last year, the Arctic ice cap on the exact spot of the North Pole completely melted for the first time in known history. Green Peace reported that, relative to the winter ice pattern, the cap had previously melted over 300 miles toward the pole, and that late last year both military and civilian ships were able to actually pass directly over the North Pole. It was water. Until now, as far as we know, there has never been a time where the ice was less than ten feet thick. In contrast, the South Pole has an ice cap that is about three miles deep, and yet huge pieces of ice continue to break off and melt.'

The Non-existence of Al Quaeda has been freaking me out!!

Posted By: billym Date: Sunday, 30 November 2003, 12:59 a.m.

I have been thinking a lot about this lately too! And it has been really freaking me out! They keep talking about Al Quaeda as if it were actually some thing, some "organization," some entity which is to blame for all the bombs going off all around the world. But who is really behind all these various bombs going off here and there in the world?

We know that some Israelis connected to Mossad were caught setting up a fake "Al-Quaeda" cell in Palestine. And many of the bombings blamed on Al-Quaeda seem to have the earmarks of having been hoaxed Al-Quaeda events carried out by "other parties." What if the whole "Al Quaeda" thing were just completely made-up (by certain parties) as an illusion that the world shall be made to believe? My mind is in total bafflement as I struggle to understand how so huge a percentage of the world's people could believe in a totally false history, believe such a giant set of lies, all together, so many people, accepting a manufactured and erroneous view of everthing, just as the liars intended it to be.

Al-Quaeda could mainly be a joint CIA-Mossad super secret program, for all we know. Who knows? If you were Mossad, or the CIA, needing desperately a new perpetual enemy, wouldn't YOU just make-up a fake organization out of nowhere and go around setting bombs of (e.g. as "Al-Quaeda") so that the drums of new wars might roll on, to your corporation's heart's content? That project would seem to be a natural for either of these two groups, and as secret as can be, of course.

Just make it up! Make up your own reality and make the world believe it. The science of lies. How can it possibly have worked so well? This much success I never dreamed of.

The absolutely amazing thing to me, as I have been watching it happen, is that huge numbers of people will simply believe what you tell them, if you keep telling them over and over. People are sleeping automatons believing the official line without question! This is what is amazing. It is the perfect example of one of Gurdjieff's most basic principles: Man is asleep.

How many people in the world believe that Osama bin Laden planned and executed the 9-11 attacks. A lot! The official version is believed even though it is full of holes and absurdly ridiculous. Once you realize that, it becomes astonishing that the repetition of the lie through the media has brought about mass belief in a giant set of lies. Never in history has propaganda worked so well. This is well thought out. Crazy schemes of secret agencies: is all of our history since 9-11 just based on the grandest hoax ever devised?

Are there secret insulated levels of the secret government where groups of mad geniuses lay out plans on wide tables and run their programs and projects to manipulate all worldly events to write upon the earth the history that they desire?

That is why this is freaking me out because I see that the "world" has been deluded, that is, the common ordinary people by a huge majority believe a lie. So I am living in this world believing in something which almost no one else believes. The cognitive dissonance is there, in that what I know to be true is disbelieved by so many, and to feel that is to get the flavor of what being insane is like. In general, no one believes me! So it all makes me feel momentarily insane.

That is why the question about the reality of some major thing called "Al Quaeda" really freaks me out. Because how could so many believe a complete fabrication? I had no idea that a giant hoax and a lot of repetitious propaganda could work so well!

Imagine you wake up one day and you find out everyone in the world has gone to sleep at once. Everywhere you go, nothing is happening, because everyone is asleep and can't wake up. What would you do? You would go traveling all around to see if you could find another person who was still awake, wouldn't you? You would crave that. Because then you would be able to realize that you are not insane! The existence of just one other waking person would prove many things to you. What a relief that would be.

For those who want perpetual low-level wars the most natural thing in the world would be to create your own enemy, a mythic enemy, but one which nearly everyone will believe. It is a grand project, necessary for those who planned it, to get what they want, a perfect hoax leading into a make-believe world and a make-believe history, making the world believe that a lie is true.

Some will say it has always been this way, to one degree or another, that the "people" have always been living in illusions, their own, and those created for them and drummed into their heads by certain powers that be. That is okay. I guess it is true. But in all my life I have never before seen it splayed all down there before me and in such stark black and white. Who would ever have believed that such a vast majority of mankind could accept the official line of the man in a cave planning and pulling off a crack superior military strike that would be difficult enough for a super power.

Once I realized that 9-11 was a hoax, I realized that one must question everything. And that includes the question "Is this whole great 'Al Quaeda' itself also just a hoax? If 9-11 was a hoax then one might assume that the mythic and unknown "Al Quaeda" is also a part of that Grand Hoax. And if so I realize that the "world" is insane, the people believe anything you tell them, because they are asleep, they are dreaming.

And realizing that the world is insane and living in a complete illusion, realizing that has been lately really freaking me out! The Rumor Mill News Reading Room

The 22 Rules of Trading

Dennis Gartman:

1. Never, under any circumstance add to a losing position.... ever! Nothing more need be said; to do otherwise will eventually and absolutely lead to ruin!

2. Trade like a mercenary guerrilla. We must fight on the winning side and be willing to change sides readily when one side has gained the upper hand.

3. Capital comes in two varieties: Mental and that which is in your pocket or account. Of the two types of capital, the mental is the more important and expensive of the two. Holding to losing positions costs measurable sums of actual capital, but it costs immeasurable sums of mental capital .

4. The objective is not to buy low and sell high, but to buy high and to sell higher. We can never know what price is "low." Nor can we know what price is "high." Always remember that sugar once fell from $1.25/lb to 2 cent/lb and seemed "cheap" many times along the way.

5. In bull markets we can only be long or neutral, and in bear markets we can only be short or neutral. That may seem self-evident; it is not, and it is a lesson learned too late by far too many.

6. "Markets can remain illogical longer than you or I can remain solvent," according to our good friend, Dr. A. Gary Shilling. Illogic often reigns and markets are enormously inefficient despite what the academics believe.

7. Sell markets that show the greatest weakness, and buy those that show the greatest strength. Metaphorically, when bearish, throw your rocks into the wettest paper sack, for they break most readily. In bull markets, we need to ride upon the strongest winds... they shall carry us higher than shall lesser ones.

8. Try to trade the first day of a gap, for gaps usually indicate violent new action. We have come to respect "gaps" in our nearly thirty years of watching markets; when they happen (especially in stocks) they are usually very important.

9. Trading runs in cycles: some good; most bad. Trade large and aggressively when trading well; trade small and modestly when trading poorly. In "good times," even errors are profitable; in "bad times" even the most well researched trades go awry. This is the nature of trading; accept it.

10. To trade successfully, think like a fundamentalist; trade like a technician. It is imperative that we understand the fundamentals driving a trade, but also that we understand the market's technicals. When we do, then, and only then, can we or should we, trade.

11. Respect "outside reversals" after extended bull or bear runs. Reversal days on the charts signal the final exhaustion of the bullish or bearish forces that drove the market previously. Respect them, and respect even more "weekly" and "monthly," reversals.

12. Keep your technical systems simple. Complicated systems breed confusion; simplicity breeds elegance.

13. Respect and embrace the very normal 50-62% retracements that take prices back to major trends. If a trade is missed, wait patiently for the market to retrace. Far more often than not, retracements happen... just as we are about to give up hope that they shall not.

14. An understanding of mass psychology is often more important than an understanding of economics. Markets are driven by human beings making human errors and also making super-human insights.

15. Establish initial positions on strength in bull markets and on weakness in bear markets. The first "addition" should also be added on strength as the market shows the trend to be working. Henceforth, subsequent additions are to be added on retracements.

16. Bear markets are more violent than are bull markets and so also are their retracements.

17. Be patient with winning trades; be enormously impatient with losing trades. Remember it is quite possible to make large sums trading/investing if we are "right" only 30% of the time, as long as our losses are small and our profits are large.

18. The market is the sum total of the wisdom ... and the ignorance...of all of those who deal in it; and we dare not argue with the market's wisdom. If we learn nothing more than this we've learned much indeed.

19. Do more of that which is working and less of that which is not: If a market is strong, buy more; if a market is weak, sell more. New highs are to be bought; new lows sold.

20. The hard trade is the right trade: If it is easy to sell, don't; and if it is easy to buy, don't. Do the trade that is hard to do and that which the crowd finds objectionable. Peter Steidelmeyer taught us this twenty five years ago and it holds truer now than then.

21. There is never one cockroach! This is the "winning" new rule submitted by our friend, Tom Powell.

22. All rules are meant to be broken: The trick is knowing when... and how infrequently this rule may be invoked!

US admits failings as Afghan poppy output doubles

Poppy cultivation in Afghanistan doubled between 2002 and 2003 to a level 36 times higher than in the last year of rule by the Taliban.

Toll on U.S. troops in Iraq grows as wounded rolls approach 10,000

Nearly 10,000 U.S. troops have been killed, wounded, injured or become ill enough to require evacuation from Iraq since the war began, the equivalent of almost one Army division, according to the Pentagon.

On Sunday, November 23, I took part in a nonviolent civil disobedience action at Fort Benning, GA, to protest the U.S. Army´s School of the Americas (SOA, now called the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation). Shortly after more than two dozen of us entered Fort Benning and were arrested, US Military Police took us to a warehouse on the base for "processing." I was directed to a station for an initial search, where a woman soldier began shouting at me to look straight ahead and spread my legs. I turned to ask her why she was shouting at me and was ordered to keep my mouth shut, look straight ahead, and spread my legs wider. She then began an aggressive body search. When ordered to raise one leg a second time, I temporarily lost my balance while still being roughly searched and, in my view, 'womanhandled.'

I decided that I shouldn't go along with this dehumanizing action any longer. When I lowered my arms and said, quietly, "I'm sorry, but I can't any longer cooperate with this," I was instantly pushed to the floor. Five soldiers squatted around me, one of them referring to me with an expletive (this f_ _ _ er) and began to cuff my wrists and ankles and then bind my wrists and ankles together.

Then one soldier leaned on me, with his or her knee in my back. Unable to get a full breath, I gasped and moaned, "I can't breathe." I repeated this many times and then began begging for help. When I said, "Please, I've had four lung collapses before," the pressure on my back eased. Four soldiers then carried me, hogtied, to the next processing station for interrogation and propped me in a kneeling position. The soldier standing to my left, who had been assigned to "escort" me, gently told me that soon the ankle and wrist cuffs, which were very tight, would be cut off. He politely let me know that he would have to move my hair, which was hanging in front of my face, so that my picture could be taken. I told him I'd appreciate that.

I was then carried to the next station. There, one of the soldiers who'd been part of pushing me to the floor knelt in front of me, and, with his nose about two inches from mine, told me that because I was combative I should know that if I didn't do exactly as instructed when they uncuffed one hand, he would pepper spray me. I asked him to describe how I'd been combative, but he didn't answer.

After the processing, I was unbound, shackled with wrist and ankle chains, and led to the section where other peaceful activists, also shackled, awaited transport to the Muskogee County jail.

In the Caribbean, 36 pilot whales beached themselves and half way around the world 100 other pilot whales have beached.

More than 100 new "security" regulations pending in Washington, some of which appear to be backdoor attempts at things like gun control, BUT in the past 2-years, nearly three million foreigners have come to the U.S. - and of these about half are illegals. It makes a sane person ask "If we've got all these security laws in the wake of 9/11, why are the borders STILL leaking like a sieve?"

Chip implant gets cash under your skin

By Declan McCullagh, CNET

Radio frequency identification tags aren't just for pallets of goods in supermarkets anymore.

Applied Digital Solutions of Palm Beach, Fla., is hoping that Americans can be persuaded to implant RFID chips under their skin to identify themselves when going to a cash machine or in place of using a credit card. The surgical procedure, which is performed with local anesthetic, embeds a 12-by-2.1mm RFID tag in the flesh of a human arm.

ADS Chief Executive Scott Silverman, in a speech at the ID World 2003 conference in Paris last Friday, said his company had developed a "VeriPay" RFID technology and was hoping to find partners in financial services firms. MORE .....

The Dark Historical Roots Of Our 'Thanksgiving' Lest We Forget...

The arrival of Europeans on the east cost of North America occurred not in 1620, but well before. French and Dutch fishermen and settlers had been in the area as early as 1614, and had been responsible for kidnapping Indians, selling them into slavery, and maliciously infecting them with smallpox.

In 1620, the pilgrims arrived on the east coast and within two days they had received assistance from the local Wampanoag Indian tribe: The pilgrims stole their stored crops, dug up graves for dishes and pots, and took many native people as prisoners and forced them to teach crop planting and survival techniques to the colonists in their new environment.

Luckily, for the colonists, an ex-slave named Squanto had recently escaped slavery in England, spoke English fluently and was able to instruct the pilgrims in crop planting, fishing, and hunting. Squanto not only escaped from slavery, he was also one of the only survivors of his tribe, the rest had been wiped out from the European smallpox plagues years before. When it came to helping the rag-tag team of colonists, Squanto, not only was able to put aside his personal differences with the people who had enslaved him and killed off his entire tribe, but also helped make the colonists self-sufficient, and aided in brokering a treaty with the Wampanoag tribe. In 1621 Massasoit, the chief of the Wampanoags, signed a "treaty of friendship" giving the English permission to occupy 12,000 acres of land.

In 1621 the myth of thanksgiving was born. The colonists invited Massasoit, chief of the Wampanoags, to their first feast as a follow up to their recent land deal. Massasoit in turn invited 90 of his men, much to the chagrin of the colonists. Two years later the English invited a number of tribes to a feast "symbolizing eternal friendship." The English offered food and drink, and two hundred Indians dropped dead from unknown poison.

The first day of thanksgiving took place in 1637 amidst the war against the Pequots. 700 men, women, and children of the Pequot tribe were gathered for their annual green corn dance on what is now Groton, Connecticut. Dutch and English mercenaries surrounded the camp and proceeded to shoot, stab, butcher and burn alive all 700 people. The next day the Massachusetts Bay Colony held a feast in celebration and the governor declared "a day of thanksgiving." In the ensuing madness of the Indian extermination, natives were scalped, burned, mutilated and sold into slavery, and a feast was held in celebration every time a successful massacre took place. The killing frenzy got so bad that even the Churches of Manhattan announced a day of "thanksgiving" to celebrate victory over the "heathen savages," and many celebrated by kicking the severed heads of Pequot people through the streets like soccer balls.

The proclamation of 1676 announced the first national day of thanksgiving with the onset of the Wampanoag war, the very people who helped the original colonists survive on their arrival. Massasoit, the chief invited to eat with the puritans in 1621, died in 1661. His son Metacomet, later to be known by the English as King Phillip, originally honored the treaties made by his father with the colonists, but after years of further encroachment and destruction of the land, slave trade, and slaughter, Metacomet changed his mind. In 1675 "King Phillip" called upon all natives to unite to defend their homelands from the English. For the next year the bloody conflict went on non-stop, until Metacomet was captured, murdered, quartered, his hands were cut off and sent to Boston, his head was impaled on a pike in the town square of Plymouth for the next 25 years, and his nine-year-old son was shipped to the Caribbean to be a slave for the rest of his life.

On June 20, 1676 Edward Rawson was unanimously voted by the governing council of Charlestown, Massachusetts, to proclaim June 29th as the first day of thanksgiving. The proclamation reads in part: "The Holy God having by a long and Continual Series of his Afflictive dispensations in and by the present War with the Heathen Natives of this land, written and brought to pass bitter things against his own Covenant people in this wilderness, yet so that we evidently discern that in the midst of his judgments he hath remembered mercy. The council has thought meet to appoint and set apart the 29th day of this instant June, as a day of solemn Thanksgiving and praise to God for such his Goodness and Favor."

It was not until 1863 that Abe Lincoln, needing a wave of patriotism to hold the country together, that Thanksgiving was nationally and officially declared and set forth to this day. At the time, two days were announced as days to give thanks, the first was a celebration of the victory at Gettysburg on August 6th, and the second one became the Thursday in November that we know now.

The most interesting part of thanksgiving is the propaganda that has been put out surrounding it. During the 19th century thanksgiving traditions consisted of turkey and family reunions. Whenever popular art contained both pilgrims and Indians, the scene was usually characterized by violent confrontations between the two groups, not a multi-cultural/multi-racial dinner. In 1914 artist Jennie Brownscombe created the vision of thanksgiving that we see today: community, religion, racial harmony and tolerance, after her notorious painting reached wide circulation in Life magazine.

Adamant protests to the celebration of thanksgiving have taken place over the years. As early as 1863 Pequot Indian Minister William Apess urged "every man of color" to mourn the day of the landing, and bury Plymouth Rock in protest. In 1970 Apess got his way. 1970 was the "350th" anniversary of thanksgiving, and became the first proclaimed national day of mourning for American Indians.

State officials of Massachusetts asked Frank B. James, President of the federated Eastern Indian League, to speak at the thanksgiving celebration. The speech he submitted read: "Today is a time of celebrating for youÖ but it is not a time of celebrating for me. It is with heavy heart that I look back upon what happened to my peopleÖ The pilgrims had hardly explored the shores of Cape Cod before they had robbed the graves of my ancestors, and stolen their corn, wheat, and beans. Massasoit, the great leader of the Wampanoag, knew these facts; yet he and his people welcomed and befriended the settlers, little knowing thatÖ before 50 years were to pass, the WampanoagsÖ and other Indians living near the settlers would be killed by their guns or dead from diseases that we caught from themÖ Although our way of life is almost gone and our language is almost extinct, we the Wampanoags still walk the lands of Massachusetts. What has happened cannot be changed, but today we work toward a better America, a more Indian America where people and nature once again are important." James was subsequently barred from speaking.

As a result, hundreds of people from around the country came to support him by gathering around the statue of Massasoit that had been erected in town. The protesters buried Plymouth Rock twice that day. For the next 24 years, American Indians staged protest every thanksgiving, in 1996 the United American Indians of New England put a stop to the annual pilgrim parade and forced the marchers to turn around and head back toward the seaside (symbolism?). In 1997 the peaceful protestors were assaulted by members of the Plymouth police, the county sheriffs department, and state troopers on horseback in full riot gear. Men, women, children, and elders were beaten, pepper sprayed and gassed. Twenty-Five people were arrested; blacks, whites, latinos, Indians, and even a 67-year-old Penobscot elder were taken to jail. Videotape was later produced to confirm the assault and ensuing police brutality. Plymouth is known as "Americas Hometown."

Finally in 1999 plaques were approved and dedicated to commemorate "genocide" and other crimes against indigenous peoples of the Americas. The plaque at Coles Hill, where the statue of Massasoit is reads: "Native Americans do not celebrate the arrival of the pilgrims and other European settlers. To them, thanksgiving day is a reminder of the genocide of millions of their people, the theft of their lands, and the relentless assault on their culture." The second plaque in the towns post office square honors "King Phillip", Massasoits son.

Sex, lies and computer chips

By RICK CASEY, Houston Chronicle,
'... presidential younger brother Neil Bush ... Exhibit 24 in the files of Bush's contentious divorce ... two-page contract between Bush and Grace Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., which recently opened a $1.6 billion computer chip production plant in Shanghai. The co-founder and CEO is Winston Wong, son of a wealthy Taiwanese plastics magnate. The contract bears Wong's and Bush's signatures. Under the contract Bush has two duties:

· "To provide GSMC from time to time with business strategies and policies; latest information and trends of the related industry, and other expertized advices (sic)."

· "To attend Directors Board Meetings."

For this the contract provides that Bush be paid $400,000 a year in company preferred stock for five years -- a total of $2 million worth of stock. In addition, he is to get $10,000 to cover expenses for each board of directors meeting he attends.

... Bush admitted to having sex with several women in Hong Kong and Thailand during an earlier business trip. In the deposition, he said a woman would knock on the door of his hotel room. Under questioning he said he didn't know them before or see them afterward, and he didn't pay them any money.

"Were they prostitutes?" he was asked.

"I don't know," he said.

Since he was under oath, I assume he was telling the truth. Perhaps that means that rather than assuming the businessmen with whom he was meeting provided them for his entertainment, he holds open the possibility that they saw him in the hotel bar and were so attracted to him that they bribed the bartender for his room number ...
